Thriller (1982) – Track By Track

“Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’” – This one is one of four songs on Thriller that “The King of Pop” Michael Jackson got songwriting credits for. Michael Jackson wasn’t only a great singer & dancer, he was also a excellent songwriter.
“Baby Be Mine” – To get an idea of how great this album is consider this: “Baby Be Mine” is one of only two songs that wasn’t a hit single. This is a pretty catchy song to be one of just two tunes not released as a single.
“The Girl Is Mine” – The lyrics are cheesy as hell but I think that’s part of the song’s charm. I’ve really started to enjoy this song a lot lately. The interaction between Michael & Beatles legend Paul McCartney is pretty darn cute. This is another one of the Jackson penned songs.
“Thriller” – At this point the music video is probably more famous than the song which I think is kind of unfortunate. It’s a great song and Jackson’s performance is brilliant. Who else could have made this song work?
“Beat It” – Eddie Van Halen features on this “rock” song. Jackson doesn’t get enough credit for stuff like this. Jackson wrote “Beat It.”
“Billie Jean” – The perfect example of a Michael Jackson song. If you are ever questioning MJ’s songwriting skill, remember that he wrote “Billie Jean”.
“Human Nature” – This is one of the tracks I enjoy most lately because it hasn’t been overplayed like many of the other songs on the album. It’s a beautiful song.
“P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)” – I don’t think any song makes me want to “get down” more than “PYT.” Much like “Human Nature,” this is one of my favorites partly because it hasn’t been overplayed.
“The Lady In My Life” – The least good song on the album? Probably. Still pretty damn good? Yes.
Does reading about Thriller make you want to learn how to sing like Michael Jackson? Well, you probably won’t ever be able to sound quite like Michael Jackson but you can significantly improve your singing with Singorama online singing lessons which are 100% guaranteed.

When you consider learning how to play guitar online, you’ll find many websites that offer this service. You can find a variety of tools such as tablature, videos and sheet music to help you become an excellent guitar player when you take the time to practice.
You will need to be able to dedicate a little time each week in order to learn so even though you can not schedule lessons, make sure you have the time for at least a few hours of practice a week. After learning how to play guitar notes and how they are played on the fret board, it will only be a matter of practice before you are playing songs.
The first thing you will practice will be scales and chords. Once you have mastered these concepts, you will have no problem learning songs as all songs are a combination of scales and chords. One online tool that has actually been around for decades is called the tablature. So many people don’t understand the musical theory of guitar and they don’t even know how to read music.
They have taught themselves, way before the internet. This is done by buying guitar books that have information on how to play a song using tablature. If you don’t really want to get into all of the details involved in music theory, then this is an excellent way to get a good idea of how to play a few songs. Instead of playing a few songs with friends, it would be better to learn how to play the guitar through theory.

You can find so many video training courses online from beginner to advanced and all stages in between. You will need to dedicate more time on learning theory than you would if you just wanted to learn a few songs. There are a lot of people that believe the theory is more important than learning how to play songs.
When you have the theory down, you will find that you can actually listen to a song and know what chords are being played. You’ll be able to tell which notes are being played when you listen to solos. When learning how to play guitar online, you just need to know how much time you have to invest and what level of guitar player you want to be. The rest is easy!

Punk band makes big money in Canada this week

Now it is very unusual for a band like this to win the prize which is actually equivalent to Britain’s mercury prize. The band name itself it rather obscene as they go by the brilliant name of “F***ed up”. The band are actually going to be doing something very good with this money.
Although band were banned from MTV afer apprently causing a near riot by wrecking a bathroom and provoking people. They are not keeping it for themselves, are not spending it on booze, fags and drugs but doing something rather honourable with it. They are to go off and make a benefit album to raise the awareness about the hundreds of missing aboriginal women in Canada.
The “Sisters in Spirit” already fight to raise the awareness as hundreds have been reported missing or murdered. They fight to provide them with the rights that any human being should have and ask why the rate of women that are going missing has been rising. As well as this they have been looking around to see if there are any major trends in the women that are being taken here.
So although the band’s front man loves to strip down to his pants and smash bottles over his head it just goes to show that the man does care about the people of his country (will pay out a lot of money that he and his band worked for) rather than keep it for own uses.
Canada itself is a very nice place to holiday at. Whether it is going to be an Alaskan cruise or just the holidays in Canada there is something for everyone. Of course if you do not like relaxing on holiday or want to take the family on a trip why not check out villas in Florida.

Getting Started With Classic Guitar Lessons

Learning to play the classic guitar can be a highly rewarding experience. Being the predecessor to the acoustic guitar, the ability to play the classic guitar will give you a great deal of attention and respect. If you are looking for classic guitar lessons, you could try on the Internet or you could go to private lessons near to where you live.
To begin with, you won’t be learning how to play the guitar herself so much but more about how to hold it in hand on it correctly. Your posture is also important and this will be covered in the first few lessons. You will be able to master this fairly quickly, an once you have mastered this, you will then be equipped to begin playing some tunes.
You will also need to learn the right sort of movements. If you have not had much experience or any experience of playing a class are guitar before, you might think it looks rather uncomfortable to play. This is not necessarily the case, and with experience it will start to come naturally to you.
Once you have learned how to hold, handle and move the guitar, the tunes will start to become more complex as you will get accustomed to the various notes. Many people underestimate the difficulty of this, thinking that so because of guitar has a fairly limited set of notes, it is going to be easy to learn.
Eventually, you will be taught how to tune your guitar. When you are travelling with a guitar, or it is in storage, it will always be kept out of tune. When you want to take it out and players, you will need to be able to tune it and this might seem a rather inconvenient process at first, but after some time, it will become second nature.
Eventually, once you have learnt all the basics of how to play the classic guitar, you will then want to decide exactly how you prefer to play it. Some use a pluck, while some use them all so while others use the flesh on their fingers. There is no correct or incorrect way to play it, and it largely depends on your individual preferences.
You will also need to start learning traditional musical notation which certainly looks rather daunting at first, but you simply can’t get away from this if you are serious about learning how to master the classic guitar.

Kanye West At The MTV Video Awards

Even those not interested in entertainment news will have seen or heard about the video footage of Kanye West jumping on the stage during this years MTV video awards whilst Taylor Swift was making her acceptance speech.
Taylor is no idol of mine, and I think the MTV video awards are a waste of time, but really – let the girl have her moment in the spotlight. Have we lost all respect and decorum as a society? Seems that way, after looking through the lyrics that Kanye uses in his songs. Having already done that myself, and ruined my appetite for the day, I really don’t think it’s that out of character for him.
This leads me on to another point – why does pop music have to be so freakin’ lifeless? Most of the stuff in the charts is just crap icing on top of crap cake. I just can’t stand to listen to it anymore. It’s an unfortunate reflection on us when we don’t even care to think beyond the shallowest levels in anything that we do. All the majority want is soulless, background music and quick pop psychology fixes until the end of their days.
But I digress, so let’s return to to moronic egomaniac that is Kanye West. Should we expect better? Probably not As long as we reward idiocy with airplay, youtube clips and massive publicity, more of the same can be expected. Everybody wants their five minutes of fame even if it’s at the expense of someone, anyone (or everyone) else. Why should we even care what these people say, sing or think about? There have mostly done nothing that warrants us valuing their opinion.
I know what you’re thinking – why should you care what I say, sing or think about? Well, any ideas that present themselves in my little brain tend to find themselves emerging as a rant or rave – even if I’m not particularly qualified to comment on the issue.
I guess I should try writing pop music…

Aquiring the entire Guitar Hero experience is not cheap

If you are seriously thinking about purchasing the entire collection of Guitar Hero then without a doubt it is going to cost you a small fortune. The major question put down here is that if you are interested in playing musical instruments then why not think about going out and learning how to play the real thing, it could be cheaper and better than buying plastic ones.?
In the long run is Guitar Hero going to be cheaper for you?? If you perhaps know someone who plays already then why not ask for lessons they are sure to give you a low price.? Just to put it into perspective for you the entire kit with drums, guitar and one of the games is at best going to cost at minimum £250. Of course then what happens if you have already gotten the previous games?? In actual fact you are going to have at least two guitars for £70 each as well as each game costing at £40 a piece, ouch.. This is only with the original games taken into thought. There are of course now many other games such as Guitar Hero 80s and on top of all of this you may have bought DLC for the games which really only means one thing, more costs. So which is the cheaper option now?
However with DJ Hero now on the horizon will people put down their DJ headphones and give in to the DJ mixer that is the upcoming DJ Hero?
There is no way to tell at the moment but the hype has not been the same for this as it was for Guitar Hero back in the day. Playing Guitar Hero is never going to replace the skill and satisfaction of playing the songs you love on a real guitar, but that is not what the company are after. They simply want people to have a bit of fun with a few friends and that can always be good.
