I hope learning how to play a guitar isnt too late for me. Mostly I heard children progress better than older people. Well Im not that really old though, Im 30 and still trying to learn. Though having a hard time doing so.

Saw a show about Les Paul and the creation of the first electric guitar, he made it look easy. The guitar didn’t look that nice, was a very rough “draft”, just the basics, but it worked.

For many guitar students DVDs are the ideal way to learn to play guitar. DVDs make more noise and hold the attention better than books, plus they are easier to store. But in general, most people who want to learn to play the guitar would prefer a video of their teacher showing them how to play. Plus the kind of graphics available on DVDs are much more guitar newbie-friendly when it comes to learning chords or tabs. There are many DVDs out there that say they will teach you guitar but I prefer two that have actually been around for a few years, and I thought I would share them with you.

If you have just bought a guitar and are simply dying to play it, pick some of the easiest songs to play on guitar. Mastering the art of even playing one or two simple songs will make life thrilling and you will be eager to learn more. Before you start to learn songs make sure that you know the fundamentals. You should be able to hold the guitar properly and strum the strings.
